There will always be music

One thing I love about POP Montreal is the discovery aspect of it all. Even the music junkie can learn what is new and going to be big soon. Yet the discovery I enjoy most to witness is the discovery of local Montrealers who happen to not know everything about the music scence here. They discover that even after POP montreal ends there is still a whole alot of music to be listened to live in our great city. An plenty of venue's to do it.

When I get to speak to these 1st time local festival goers each year it really reveals to me the importance of the festival from a perspective of a local. It is not so much for revealing to outsiders and media people we've got things figured out and a great talented bunch of people who can do this in Montreal. It reminds the locals how important it is to have this in our city for them to enjoy too and that we can enjoy it all year round. It shows them the talent of the local organizers, music industry, and wonderful venues and attitude our city has towards cultural events that is unique perspective and setting that most cities would die for.

This is just a few of the hundred and hundred of shows going to play in this fair city in the months to come. So get out there like you did for POP and check out those shows. The more we use it the less chance we'll lose it.
