Well considering it's fall and that it's only a second date my repsonse needed a moment of pondering before blurting out what to do. As I normally think of what could be bad or good with any date suggestion here's what I came up with in terms of suggestions. In no order yet.
1. ON NOIR resturant - eating in the dark and revealing good conversation is so important.
+ fun, new and exciting ( even if you've done it before) it's always a treat and really gives you an idea of her patience and willingness to laugh and communicate,
- eating in the dark can be scary - what are the feeding you ?, finding out blind that she is not a good conversationilst sucks more then finding out,
2.Moon Festival in Montreal China Town - the Mid-Autumn (Moon) Festival on October 6 th.
so many things to do here, it could proove to be super fun.
+ eat Moon cakes! These tasty, round little cakes have many uses, including sending secret messages describing how to attack your enemies. Google it if you don't believe me. Exploring the stores and maybe buying some dried foods or medicines, Bubble Tea at one of the numerous cafes, eating some Dragon’s Beard Candy ($0.75 each). A treat that was served to the imperial court in ancient China – 2000 years ago. You must eat the 8000 fine strands of soft sugar covering the roasted nuts within 30-60 minutes of its production. Get your fortune read!!
- not much to downplay this event unless she does not like crowds, asian stuff, or getting her fortune ready, which means she may suck.
3. Tango and Tapas - Getting close and hot and then cooling off with beer and snacks.. uhh.. amazing ?? Taza Flores and next to it ( Greek club which offers tango lessons) you need to book in advance.
+ Located on Parc avenue and steps from eachother the venue to venue is easy and if your both not digging the tango lessons you can jolt right out of there and hit up the beer and tapas,
- could proove bad if your a horrible two left foot kind of guy.
4. Watching the leaves on the mountian and grabbing a pint. ( simple and nice)
Climb a simple trail up mont-royal and watch and pretty leaves turn color. Then walk back down to price-arthur and grab a pint at Ye Olde Orchard and discuss plans for the fall and what the next activity could be.
If she not much of a walker ( diva) or a beer drinker then this suggestion does pose problems. It could easily be replaced with an Old Port walk and a martini if that is more your/her thing.
hope this helps. comment if you need more specific venue or event information.
