the best wedding gift?

Simply donate to the Honeymoon fund.

I like the idea just because its a fact is that because of our tiny artsy apartment in mile end we already have more "stuff" than we can carry or hold.  I have also discussed that following the wedding, Genevieve and I hope to celebrate a romantic and adventurous honeymoon! somewhere warm and beachy with a port or coastal city happening. So can you just ask guests to do this? What is the best wedding gift? is that not the question for the people celebrating the day? or is there a best gift? conclusion unknown at this point.

Where this fox gets hitched GOLF STE-ROSE

I am not really into golf except for the fact it is outdoors and normally out of the hassle of the busy city. Genevieve and I have recently decided on venue to host our wedding day - ceremony and reception - It`s located in Laval, Quebec so not exactly Montreal but close enough to be convienant for planning and far enough to outdoors laid back feel which was always the goal. I must say I am very happy with the facilities and the planning base it provides so we can do our thing. ( now for the fun stuff)

Since being outdoors we`ve got to consider the ceromony details first as the venue handles more of the aftermath cocktail and reception. So the agenda is in the works as well as details for everystep are being discussed. I can say this much - no long wait after ceremony to cocktail. just a pleasant shuttle to the private terrace. I must say though after getting the exact venue locked down it does feel a tad less stressful. The thoughts of all to do is a tad overwhelming yet I am sure we will get it done. Here`s a link to see where the Golf Ste-Rose. ALL FAMILYAND FREINDS there will be a shuttle leaving from hotel in LAVAL to the golf course at set times through-out the evening back and forth. Times to be confirmed.

white heat.

All this wedding planning can be very time consuming and leave far too little time for other things. During the week-end my time tries to always consist of reading and music at the very least. These are two of my favorite things which sometimes done separately or together works no matter what on the week-end.

Today I got up early and could not fall asleep, so I decided to wake and do just those two things . I finished a book which was quite decent read. TOMMORROW by Graham Swift. I prolonging story that is actually interestingly cut up into parts enjoyable to read. Then at the very moment of end read this song was playing by Jack Johnson. - say what you will but I thought it was kind of funny good humour timing. way to go jack.

here are some more tracks that are more likely to get ya into gear for the planning or treking in the week-end. Cause sun and serious walk, or cruise ons is a neccessity in the summer in Montreal.

enjoy.

step 1 - the date, the venue

Planning for a year for one day has begun. We have decided on two crucial factors thus far; and they are

1. the wedding will be in held in the province of Quebec. The exact venue is to be determined but it will most likely be either in or around the Montreal reigon. After much debate on the distance that must be travelled by my family. (coming from London Ont) it just seems to be more relevant that my family embraces the Quebec factor I have choosen for my wife and life ( Ì`am living here and for a while) and I am so happy to welcome them here to the belle province I get jittery thinking about it.

2. The date - June 30 2012 - the relevance? two reasons; firstly we never wanted to be engaged for more then a year and secondly it is a time when we are both 30 ( Genevieve turns 31 onJuly 4th) married on the 30th both at 30.... has a nice simple ring to it.

More details of the planning and items to come as this journey continues.

going to wear the black and white? maybe. going to get married? yes.

firstly lets call out the maybe part in this headline as only about what I might wear on a special day. Lets just say the actions were met recently and I am  one happy dude on my way to this special day. These actions I speak of  are the knee being bent, declare your love, and offer a ring with a question. I was lucky and thrilled to get a yes to the final statement -  will you be my wife?  Im  getting married.
I reflect and research allot in my day to day on various subjects and often write ideas, thoughts, opinions or listings on things that interest me for later reference. With the new step in my life I thought it is time to share this relfection and research  more often and relate it to other things I love.  so look forward to frequency going forward. even with the good weather!
