Kyudo me
I picked up a flyer at a local shop I was intrigued by the cover and more interested when I quickly opened to check it and read the title ¨Way of the bow¨ & MASTER KANJURO SHIBATA. I knew this would be some serious Japanese business.
When I got home to read it completely and google the word; I came across the website saying there will be a demonstration of the art. looks pretty cool and worth checking into. Flyer was found at this shop

read and listen
Montreal-based artist Daniel Barrow uses obsolete technologies to present written, pictorial, and cinematic narratives centering on the practices of drawing and collecting. On Thursday February 24th at 7 pm @ D&Q he will be presenting a slideshow and giving a short artist’s talk, after which he will sign books. Its is to promote his first major publication No One Helped Me.
its a full-colour, hardcover book that provides documentation for his performance pieces, a catalogue of his recent drawings, a READ & LISTEN story complete with a 7” record and original essays by Jon Davies and Steven Matijcio.
see you there!

if I had a Shop it might look like this
pop up shops come and go and sometimes give you that sad temp feeling as you know it just wont last forever... I came across this shop online as I tend to fancy british things and search them out time to time on the world wide web. It was a temporary shop selling a diverse selection of artists’ works, limited editions and original pieces by leading contemporary artists in support of Studio Voltaire.
I love the art selection and set-up; I wished I could have walked in an seen some of these beautiful works of art all displayed masterfully to perfection. I discovered I may just get that chance without crossing the big Atlantic Pond. Studio Voltaire has recently announced its participation in INDEPENDENT, a temporary exhibition forum which takes place in the former DIA Center for the Arts, New York (3 – 6 March 2011). enjoy if you can! it will be worth it indeed!

wrap it with recycle and not more waste
This year my gal and I decided that we wanted to try to `clean office` which meant get rid of some old magazines, print paper, sticker paper, and zine making paper that was lying around rather then go buy more stuff and clutter it all.
I knew it would be a challenge but I got through and think I came out pretty nice.. I hope the person getting thinks so too. , thoughts ?
materails used.
july2010 enroute magazine clippings
garland
paper bag the gift came with at the shop purchase
sticker paper
all print used (soybean ink)
tape
love
Merry Christmas!

The Mixtape | Media Art

An independent artist I found on Flicker named "iri5" has come up with a new way to turn the forgotten art (music) on old cassette tapes into something totally new. Simply Brilliant.
