Mall of Canada - where?

This thought comes to mind this week as fashion week is upon Montreal. It reminds me that we have talent and a well driven fashion culture in this city.

So when your sitting in the chair watching the new looks go by with your Micheal Kors boots, skirt from H&M, top from Zara, and your bag you got on sale from Target remember there are Canadian designers, shops, and companies that are home grown and CAN play the game in terms of qualilty and fit to meet you need. 

I`m not saying tune out or boycott the other world brands; each marketplace needs a diverse offering of products and services from all around the world. Yet theres something to be said in terms of making sure we dont turn into `just another` expansion for these big chains and loose what was ours to begin with. There`s already a Mall of America in America.. why would you want one in Canada?

We are always telling ourselves we want to be different - yet at the same time we line up in Toronto for a J CREW store to open.. wtf ?
